Answer
To date we have not had any discussions with UK Government counterparts on this issue, as overseas aid is not a devolved matter. However, we are aware of proposals to halt the majority of overseas aid spending on fossil fuel production and on fossil fuel power generation plants. We are fully supportive of such measures to help tackle the climate emergency and, where appropriate, we will work with international organisations to share our experience and expertise in addressing climate issues.
