Answer
Issues around immigration, including accommodation and support for asylum seekers, are excepted matters and do not fall within my Department’s remit.
The Executive Office has strategic responsibility for interactions with the Home Office and chairs the Strategic Planning Group (SPG) on Refugees and Asylum Seekers. Officials from my Department attend the SPG.
