| Year | Social Homes Commenced | Social Homes Completed |

The Housing Executive is committed to ensuring that housing need is targeted equitably throughout Northern Ireland and has developed Strategic Guidelines to distribute the new build social housing requirement against the available annual budget at a Council level over the three years of the Social Housing Development Programme (SHDP).
I am doing everything I can to stretch my budget to deliver as many new social homes as possible. It is imperative that the Executive also commits to doing everything it can to ensure that sufficient budget is allocated to the SHDP as early as possible, to give us the best chance of achieving our Programme for Government target.
