Answer
My Department works in collaboration with the Department for Communities to meet the health needs of the homeless population across Northern Ireland, primarily through the implementation of the Inter Departmental Homeless Action Plan.
The Public Health Agency commission a specialist homeless nurse in the Northern Health and Social Care Trust to support people experiencing homelessness; this includes South Antrim. Individuals requiring further assessment or treatment, including mental health support, are referred to their GP or directed into established Trust mental health services.
