Answer
The feasibility study into the Antrim Significant Flood Risk Area, which includes the lower reaches of the Sixmilewater River, remains ongoing. Work is continuing to explore every reasonable opportunity to identify a viable flood alleviation scheme for Antrim, including further hydraulic modelling, engineering assessment and the consideration of combinations of flood alleviation measures.
The feasibility study is expected to be completed early in 2027, within the current Assembly mandate.
