The draft Peatland Strategy has yet to be finalised and bids have not yet been made for its full implementation.

The Department has however made bids in respect of Green Growth, and, if successful, part of this may be used to assist with the development of natural capital and nature-based solutions including peatland restoration.

Other potential funding steams such as PEACE Plus may also provide opportunities for funding to help deliver some of the strategic objectives identified within the draft Peatland Strategy.
