Officials are currently finalising the Peatland Strategy document, seeking internal agreement on the Objectives and Actions and ensuring resources are in place for delivery. An Equality Impact Assessment has been drafted to accompany the strategy and I intend to carry out a 12 week public consultation on this assessment over the summer. Following my final and Executive approval, I anticipate publication of an agreed Peatland Strategy in Autumn 2022.
