Answer

To reduce the risk of flooding from rivers, my Department’s Rivers Directorate plans to continue its inspection and maintenance regime in relation to designated watercourses and their associated infrastructure.

Flooding in Antrim Town will also be examined as part of a wider ‘Antrim Significant Flood Risk Area’ study, which is already on my Department’s Rivers Directorate 10-year capital works programme.

My Department’s Roads Division will continue to carry out routine cleaning and maintenance of DfI drainage infrastructure in Antrim.
