Answer
My officials have investigated flooding on the A57 Ballyclare Road and A6 Antrim Road, Templepatrick and discovered a potentially undersized pipe which crosses underneath the Ballyclare Road carriageway. This pipe is likely to be a contributing factor of carriageway flooding and further detailed investigations of the drainage regime will be carried out in due course.
Works previously undertaken to clear out the open drainage channel, which runs parallel to the Antrim Road carriageway, should however provide relief in the interim.
