Answer
Although World Wildlife Day, which takes place annually on 3 March, has now passed, my Department continually keeps under review appropriate opportunities to reinforce road‑safety messaging throughout the year, including encouraging drivers to be alert to all potential hazards, particularly in rural areas.
My Department’s road safety campaigns are designed to improve road user behaviour and reduce the number of people killed or seriously injured on roads here. Improvement in road user behaviour benefits all road users, which may also help protect wildlife too.
