Answer
DAERA regularly issues guidance on NI Direct and its own social media platforms during periods of prolonged hot weather in relation to protection of livestock. Such guidance is mainly in relation to protection of livestock during transport, which, in line with the Windsor Framework (Implementation) Regulations 2024, is under the direction and control of the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).
