Answer
The Path to Net Zero Energy Strategy, launched in December 2021 set out the direction of travel for our transition to net zero carbon energy. The focus for the first year of the delivery of the strategy is captured in the 22 actions published in the Path to Net Zero Action Plan.
The IPCC report, Climate Change 2022 Mitigation of Climate Change assesses literature on the scientific, technological, environmental, economic and social aspects of mitigation of climate change. This report forms part of the evidence base in the ongoing development of the Energy Strategy (leading up to the first formal review in 2025), research which sits alongside the delivery of the energy strategy outlined above.
