Answer
My Department is currently in the process of commissioning a consultant to undertake a feasibility study to assess the flood risk from the Sixmilewater River to properties in Antrim, Muckamore and Dunadry. It is currently anticipated that this study should commence early this year and I can advise that such a study would typically take approximately 18 months to complete.
The study aims to identify if there are any economically viable schemes to reduce the impact of river flooding.
